Für Serena Oldrati aus Bergamo und Frederick Paysden aus Brighton könnte 2019 ein sehr aufregendes Jahr werden. Denn am 22. Februar bringen die beiden als SONARS ihr zweites Album heraus, ihr erstes seit knapp 4 Jahren. Und die erste Single ‚Love Me Anyway‘ ist von vorne bis hinten ein Gedicht und zeigt nach den bisherigen Songs, eine weitere Seite der Beiden. In bester Angus & Julia Stone Manier intonieren sie den Song und schenken uns dabei eine der schönsten Melodien.

Frederick sagt zum Song: „Love Me Anyway is one of the most personal songs I’ve written so far, it’s like a scrap book of moments of my life and was written for all the people that have meant so much to me along the way, my parents in particular. All of the footage for the video comes from old Super 8 home movies that we found by sifting through dusty and moldy boxes at flea markets. We have no way of knowing exactly who these people were, but watching them spend these precious moments together with their loved ones is very moving and it worked perfectly with the music given the nature of the song.“
