„I wrote the song in a dream after we separated. I woke up thinking how even if we have a good heart we can’t always escape what we came from. If we grow up in a tough environment we don’t always learn how to love in a healthy way – how to love others or even how to love ourselves. Instead we find ways subconsciously to put ourselves in the same situation again and again, because it’s familiar. I guess it’s like being toxic to yourself”. sagt Ian.
