Die in Montreal ansässige Goth-Folk-Künstlerin Flower Face (Ruby McKinnon) meldet sich mit ihrer neuen Single inklusive Musikvideo zurück. Nach dem von der Kritik gefeierten Album Girl Prometheus (2024) schlägt sie über ihr Label Nettwerk ein neues und mitreißendes Kapitel ihrer Karriere auf.

Auf „Bad Dream“ tauscht McKinnon die leisen, akustischen Räume ihrer Anfangstage gegen eine gewaltige Dream-Pop-Klanglandschaft ein. Flower Face zu ihrer neuen Single: “…could you have imagined it all? and if none of it is real, who is to blame? sometimes you fall so deep into this imaginary argument that you forget you have no real opponent, and like in a dream everyone is you, no one acts freely, you are fighting different versions of yourself, and you will never win, and you can project a whole life onto anyone who’s in front of you, but as soon as they open their mouth the illusion is shattered, it only works when they’re sleeping, it only works when they’re leaving, it only works when they’re not there at all.”
