“For me, Fool’s Gold is a response to the rising tide of misdirected anger and hate towards vulnerable communities in Ireland. Fueled by far-right rhetoric which often preys heavily on disenfranchised youth, it aims to divide society in order to weaken it. The song speaks to my own personal experience wrestling with anger and humiliation following a verbal homophobic attack, but it’s also an attempt to reconcile that behaviour with the deeper issues at play and call for greater understanding of the real roots of discrimination.” Zoë Gough über den neuen Track.
