Aus Hull kommen Strange Pink und die Alternative Shoegaze Band präsentiert ihre verheißungsvolle Debütsingle ‚Pencil Chewer‘. Und gelungener könnte ihr Einstand nicht ausfallen. Besonders auffällig ist die Balance zwischen Retro und Moderne. Wie es zu der Single gekommen ist, erklärt uns Sänger und Gitarrist Sam Forrest: “Pencil Chewer was the first song that we wrote as a group and it makes sense to make it our first release. Too factual, not even psychodrama? how about this: We wrote Pencil Chewer while bathing in the blood of fascists and it’s dedicated to the memory of St Agatha of Sicily. “
