Die aufstrebende New Yorker Künstlerin Belle Blue versucht Ereignisse und Erlebnisse aus ihre Vergangenheit auszulöschen und wegzuwaschen. ‚Wash‘ beginnt nachdenklich und zurückhaltend, als würde Belle Blue versuchen so leise wie möglich zu sein, um die alten Monster nicht aufzuwecken.

“I wrote ‘Wash’ about a moment I knew I wasn’t going to keep, even while I was in it,” erklärt Belle Blue. “I was listening to a lot of Elliott Smith, and I loved how his songs feel so specific but also kind of unresolved. I didn’t want to over-explain anything—I just wanted it to feel like a memory you’re trying to get out of your system, but can’t.”
